Ugur Altundal, Ph.D. is the Burt Dorsett '53 Postdoctoral Fellow in Ethics at the Ethics Institute at Dartmouth College. He is the co-winner of American Political Science Association (APSA) Migration & Citizenship section's Best Dissertation Award in 2023 for his work on "The Right to Travel: Toward an Ethics of Short-Term Mobility."
He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and M.A. in Government from Georgetown University. Prior to Dartmouth College, he worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Loyola University Maryland and as a research fellow at the Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Brown University.
Ugur's research expertise includes contemporary political theory, citizenship, migration, borders and boundaries, global justice, and democratic theory.
