While always the case, I think the consequential nature of the Supreme Court and those who sit on the bench has been realized quite mightily in the last 5 years with the Trump and Biden administrations. While most history books and other evaluations of the court look at already argued and settled cases, to look at active and pending cases and learn about their legal, political, and societal implications is something that really interests me. Additionally, I think being in a room with such knowledgeable experts about the court and other students equally as interested in it will foster really beneficial and meaningful discussion that I will be able to pull from in my coursework, as well as my personal and professional life. I really enjoy skiing in the winter terms up here. It's so fun to take advantage of the Upper Valley and White Mountains this time of year.
