German Studies Student Writes Article for Student-run Journal of History

Farah Almadani, editor-in-chief of the Dartmouth Undergraduate Historical Review, the College's only student-run journal of history, informed the Department that one of the articles in their first issue was written in GERM 65.06: Belonging in Germany.

The paper, "German-Americans and the First World War: Through the Eyes of the New Ulm, Minnesota and Its Two Newspapers" was authored by student Thomas Lane '24. The full issue is available here

The Dartmouth Undergraduate Historical Review will be celebrating Thomas' work and those of other writers on Tuesday, February 7th at 8 PM at Carson 312. This event is co-sponsored by the History department.
