Karen Aguilar

I am from Guatemala and moved to Los Angeles when I was twelve. My experience as an immigrant led me to grow an interest in American politics and history. As a Dartmouth student, I have continued to study the historical movements that have given individuals like me the opportunity to pursue a higher education. Also, I enjoy learning new languages! Acquiring a new language provides opportunities to meet people and discover the beauty of cultures different from mine. After Dartmouth, I plan to attend law school to continue my love for policy and history.
