We invite instructors from across campus to this roundtable discussion focused on technology-based approaches to academic dis/honesty. Dartmouth’s recent revision of the Academic Honor Policy empowers faculty to decide how, for their courses, they plan to manage and administer assessments. Some tools available include technology (such as TurnitIn) to screen student writing for plagiarism. Do such technologies have a place here at Dartmouth? This session is meant as an open discussion, and a space to explore and articulate faculty needs around assessment at Dartmouth. Technology is a topic, but will only enter into the discussion at the conceptual level. Look for future sessions to examine the technical operation, affordances, and challenges associated with these technologies.

Lunch will be provided.
