Vanessa Haggans

Vanessa Haggans is a '23 from Boulder, Colorado. At Dartmouth, she studies Economics, Biology, and Public Policy, with a focus on environmental law and justice. Vanessa competes as an attorney on the Dartmouth Mock Trial team, volunteers as a ski patroller at the Dartmouth Skiway, and works as a Presidential Scholar in a marine biology lab, where she studies the bioaccumulation of chemical contaminants in marine systems. Vanessa has pursued her interest in government and law through internships at the Department of Justice, the New Hampshire Adult Parole Board, and the World Resources Institute. Vanessa is fascinated by the intersection of science, public policy, and law, and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law after graduation. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys trail running, skiing, and exploring the outdoors.
